You can experience some great cross-country skiing on the 52 kilometres of groomed trails located near the communities of Wiltondale, Trout River, Rocky Harbour, and Cow Head. For the beginner, try the 10.8-kilometre Visitor Centre Trails at the park’s entrance. Try the Owl Trail, which is lit up every night until 10:00, or the five kilometres of groomed ski trails at the Trout River Pond that offer varying terrains and levels of difficulty. For a great adventure travel experience, travel just past Wiltondale and try the 14 kilometres of Wigwam Pond to Stuckless Pond Trails.
If you enjoy skiing with your family, try the seven-kilometre Shallow Bay Trails through the forest and over sand dunes.
