With short wait lines, you will spend more time skiing on Marble’s 39 runs accessed by four lifts. An exciting night of skiing on lit trails is open to you on Friday nights. The family friendly world class Marble Mountain Base Lodge built in the 1990’s offers a spectacular view of the hill from two of its three levels. SNOW WEST , a winter festival taking place in several areas in the region, will have its KICK-OFF PARTY at Marble Mountain.
On the main level, the Cookhouse Family Dining Area will, for the second year in a row, be hosting its Touton Festival. Now for those who don’t know about traditional Newfoundland food, toutons are definitely a favourite. On February 1st the resort will have a touton taste testing. Come and vote for your favourite! For the adults who want to enjoy a cold one, come on up to the third level where you will find the Knotty Pine Lounge. From February 2 – 8, watch the Marble Cup when young Atlantic Canadian skiers ascend on Marble Mountain. Participate in the Happy Warrior Yoga For Snow Sports taking place in the Mountain View Room which should help if you take part in the Park Days Women’s Snowboard Camp happening on February 8th. Enjoy night skiing and fireworks on February 27th during Winter Carnival Family Night.
When the warm spring sun begins to melt the winter snow, have some family fun in the annual Central Dairies Slush Cup as you try to ski across a huge slush pit at the Terrain Park. For more great fun, the Western SnoRiders Race On the Rock takes place at Marble Mountain on Saturday, March 29 when snowmobilers from Atlantic Canada will join in the uphill drag races.
